Appears the secondary rut has kicked in or straglers from the previous. Chasing and bugling still being seen daily. Compared notes shows a decent amount of mid day activity on trail cams. Based on the moon transit times , sika have been cooperating. Dont forget check the moon stages and hunt accordingly.. Time and time again it works. The marsh and marsh food is turning brown and dying so the sika bellies will be searching again.Water levels have receded to normal levels and the mosquittos have drawn back some with the mild temps.
Chesapeake Pursuits crew has been heavy at here with the sika rut winding down and the whitetail rut cranking up. A more updated frequent sika reort will continue after the chaos settles.
